An unpaired electron-based hole-transporting molecule: triarylamine-combined nitroxide radicals.

چکیده
A durable nitroxide radical combined with a triarylamine moiety exhibited a hole-drift mobility of 6 x 10(-3) cm(2) V(-1) s(-1), to which the aminophenyl nitroxide structure contributed.

متن کاملInvestigation of the anthracene-nitroxide hybrid molecule as a probe for hydroxyl radicals.
A new method for the determination of hydroxyl radicals is proposed. The method is based on the use of a hybrid molecule consisting of a fluorescent chromophore, anthracene, and a nitroxide radical. In the hybrid molecule, the nitroxide quenches the fluorescence of anthracene strongly. The reaction of hydroxyl radicals with dimethyl sulfoxide generates quantitatively methyl radicals, which then...
متن کاملPerovskite solar cells with CuSCN hole extraction layers yield stabilized efficiencies > 20 %
Perovskite solar cells (PSC) with efficiencies > 20% have only been realized with highly expensive archetype organic hole transporting materials that can impede the large-scale deployment of PSC. Here we demonstrate PSCs achieving stabilized efficiencies of 20.3% with CuSCN as hole electron extraction layer. We developed a new method for the solution deposition of compact and highly conformal C...
متن کاملOxygen in Biology and Biochemistry: Role of Free Radicals
A free radical is defined as any atom or molecule that contains unpaired electrons and has independent existence (hence, the term free). A dot is used to represent a free radical species. The abstraction or gain of one electron by a nonradical molecule may (or may not) convert it to a radical species. Free radicals can have positive, negative, or neutral charges [reactions (12.1.1) and (12.1.2)].

Molecular oxygen is toxic for anaerobic organisms but it is also obvious that oxygen is poisonous to aerobic organisms as well, since oxygen plays an essential role for inducing molecular damage. Molecular oxygen is a triplet radical in its ground-stage (.O-O.) and has two unpaired electrons that can undergoes consecutive reductions of one electron and generates other more reactive forms of oxy...
